ABOUT ME

My name is Sabrina Adaba and I’m a licensed cosmetologist with over 17 years of natural hair care and styling experience. My passions are bringing naturally textured hair to the forefront of bridal and editorial beauty, and my work has most recently been featured in WWD, PhotoVogue, Culture Icon, and Lady Gunn magazines.

I am currently the hairstylist for artist/harpist/DJ PURP (she’s the blondie all over my website!), and she allows me complete artistic reign with natural hairstyles inspired by afro-futurism, anime, and traditional African hairstyling. Manipulated Styles is my attempt to recruit more folks like her, who want to try something new and different with their texture. You headed to AfroPunk?
